What is the Commonwealth Home Support Program?

The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) is a government-subsidised program for over 65s who just need a little extra support to stay at home. The program provides subsidised home and community care services which are delivered by aged care CHSP service providers like GCLA

With CHSP, the focus is on working with you, rather than taking over and doing it all for you. It’s about building on what you can do, to help you live independently, and be happy, healthy, and safe in your own home.

The CHSP is designed to deliver entry-level support. If at any time you feel that you need more than entry-level services, you can be assessed for a Home Care Package (HCP), another government-funded initiative (eligibility criteria applies). GCLA can help you navigate towards a HCP, and then coordinate and manage the home and community services that meet your needs on your behalf.

What CHSP services can GCLA help you with?

The CHSP offers seniors a range of home and aged care services. As an authorised service provider in the aged care industry, GCLA can support you with a wide range of CHSP services, from the boring stuff like domestic assistance to the fun stuff like exercising to music you love. We want you to live your best bold life; however that looks for you, and we pride ourselves on being CHSP providers delivering an empowering, respectful, and highly personalised aged care experience.

We offer everything from personal care to Occuational Therapy, medication, and transport. If you need it, chances are we can make it happen. We can even organise social groups for that all-important social support, so that you can catch up with friends over a round of mini golf, Aquafit, or high tea. We do it your way, on your terms. Our CHSP services provide all the help you need, without the hassle.
